I'm sure even if they did it would be more beneficial to get a good sweat from exercise. Then you'd also be improving your cardiovascular health while decreasing your waist line.
Sauna treatment can help improve the performance of endurance athletes and temporarily provide relief of the common cold. It's also a good way to release stress and relax.
As far as I know there's no scientific evidence backing that it releases toxins.
