# calorie differential report

The simple math is that to lose a pound, you must consume 3500 less calories than you consume. So, the differential is the difference from what you consumed to what you burned. So, you consumed 1022 less calories than you burned over those three days which is about 1/3 of a pound. That being said, the math doesn't always immediately translate to the scale moving down. That's the simplistic answer, really.

Help! I am trying to understand this. I would like to lose .05 to 1lb per week. Could someone explain this? Thanks. Here are my stats from past few days...
