Starting Strength is a good suggestion. Also, New Rules of Lifting is a good book to read. I also like the suggestion of bodybuilding.com. In the Forum there's a "sticky" post that is All Pro's Beginner Routine. It's 3 days a week of mostly compound lifts at different weights, it's a 10 week program, then you up your weight and start over. It's a good place to start as well.

I am 5'4".

Google starting strength. That's the best plan for any beginner, whether looking to maintain muscle while losing or build muscle.

I'm 5'8" stinks being shorter
Summer 2011- 215 lbs. Peak weight
Christmas 2011- 200 lbs
Start of summer 2012- 170 lbs

Fighting weights (Same day weigh ins)-
New Breed Lightweight (159) 8/4/12
weighed in at: 155
IBJJF Featherweight (150) 9/15/12
weighed in at: 148
Naga Featherweight (149) 12/1/12
weighed in at: 148

Goal is to maintain around 152. This leaves me in easy cutting range of featherweight.

I also suggest you try out some of the beachbody programs. They have a lot you can choose from. I am not sure what your level of fitness is. If you are a beginner, I would suggest programs like Tony Horton's "10 Minute Trainer" or Debbie Seibert's "Slim in 6." If you are experienced and want to take it to the next level, programs like P90X, P90X2, Insanity, Turbo fire, or Les Mills Combat. The link to beachbody is www.beachbody.com/

bodybuilding.com has some really good workout based on your size, age and gender. I have done one and I liked it. They usually are 12 week programs.

I am looking for a strength training routine. Is there any resources out there that can help me design one or help me find a plan? Thank you in advance for your help.
