Just a bit of background:
I'm in the transition of starting over with Sparkpeople, I've been a dedicated logger on Myfitnesspal.com for 3 years now, down 50lbs and in 2-5Ks and 1-Mud Run... Who lost dedication recently to MFP and needs a change!
Last year I was suppose to run/bike a Dualthon with an MFP pal who got into a car accident shortly before the event- since it was a 6 hour drive for me, and I was suppose to stay with her and she could not host me, I had to cancel 2 weeks before the race!
Well luckily I was able to transfer my registration to this year, and I've decided to participate in a Dualthon April 28th!!! It will be a 2 mile run /11.2 mile bike/3.1 mile run!!
I have not biked since Sept. and I hate, hate, hate running in the cold outside!! I love to run outside, but not in the cold weather (it's currently 11 degrees!) and I hate running on the treadmill!!
Basically I have to retrain my body to bike that 11 miles (last year it was 10 which I could do in about 50 minutes) and on top of that train myself to run.. (I was doing well last year, and I can WOG a mile in about 17-18 minutes - eeck!) ..
So maybe some of you can help me decide where to start?!? I started running again at the first of the year after not doing so for months.. I still need to drop about 100lbs.. but my main focus is getting in shape to run these events (I have 4 planned this year)
