You can read about the Fitbit in this great Daily Spark Blog.

_why_i_love_my_fitbit

The Fitbit is a great fitness gadget that "could" help motivate a person to be more active. So, if you have a bit of extra money and can afford the price, the Fitbit could help you to be more active.

Long story short, last week I found a Fitbit that someone lost. So, I used it before the battery ran out. the Fitbit tracks steps, distance covered, stairs (elevation) and calories burned. It can also monitor your sleep. I didn't try that. I liked it. I thought that for someone trying to be more active, it really can help.

Does a person need a Fitbit to lose weight ? Nope. When it comes to weight loss or even weight gain, what matters most is what we eat. Good nutrition is what takes the weight off and keeps it off. Exercise is what keeps our bodies fit and healthy. In short, you can't outrun a bad diet with exercise. In order to lose weight, you have to eat right.

Now, IF you were to combine a healthy diet with some regular exercise, then yes, you would eventually lose weight.

At $99 on Amazon, the fitbit is not cheap. But, if you have some extra cash and can afford the expense, I do think the Fitbit is a great little tool.

Doobie, check your local craigslist. That's how I found the owner of the Fitbit I found. I posted a found ad on CL. The owner saw it and I returned her Fitbit on Sunday. Happy endings for everyone !

I'm tempted but the cost is stopping me from getting one. I don't want to spend $100.00 on something that I'm not sure I would remember to put on each day. (but I do really want one, lol)

I had one for a while and used it daily. I love gadgets so it was cool to check out my stats every day, but truthfully, it wasn't terribly accurate. My favorite thing about it was checking ou my sleep patterns. lol. I wore it religiously. but it is small and easy to forget about.. So I washed it twice. The first time I remembered in just the nick of time and grabbed it out in enought time. The second time killed it. :( I did like it and if someone gave me another one, I would wear it.. but I wouldn't pay the money for one again.

What would you do today if you knew you could not fail?
