I have a hard time exercising in the mornings. I am drained the rest of the day. I need to be up for at least an hour before I can bring any intensity to a morning workout. You can try moving your workouts to lunch time to see if that makes a difference. Or change the intensity of your workout. Maybe go a little less intense then add 10-15 minutes of exercise in the evening.
Try eating a banana with your coffee. Or 1/2 a banana with 1/2 piece of bread w/ peanut butter.
I have found that protein shakes help me recover from workouts better/faster. The one I use is low carb/sugar but still tastes good because I mix it with skim milk. (Which naturally has some sugar) But I get 24 grams of protein in one serving plus the added nutrients and protien in the milk. Sometimes I will do 1/2 a serving or mix it with water if I'm tight on calories. You can have one for breakfast and see if that helps. If I can't have one within 30 minutes of a workout I will eat a clementine after I shower and that helps to give me a little oomfph until I can eat something more substantial.
But I would also take a look at your food tracker and see if you are meeting your nutritional requirements. Look at the report at the end of the day. Did you get enough protein? Carbs? Fat?
