I am just starting but Ive got a couple Wii workout games...zumba, biggest loser, Wii fit plus, ea sports active...which I have collected from thrift stores or at used game stores. Im always on the lookout for more now. :-) I also have a stability ball and a resistance band (which I can't find at the moment). Id like to acquire a treadmill, light weights, and maybe kettle balls. I'll be keeping my eye out for all of those.
-10 pounds: Zumba Fitness 2 for Wii (assuming it is still for sale) ORDERED -20 pounds: ymca or gym membership (still researching best option) -30 pounds: new workout outfit -40 pounds: new walking/running shoes -50 pounds: New fitness game or DVD -60 pounds: new workout outfit -70 pounds: new wardrobe

We have a separate room with a door to close it all off and away from our family room in the basement which is good because it is much cooler in there. We have yoga mats, resistance bands, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10 lb hand weights as well as various weights for the barbell and weight bench, a treadmill, bike, boxing gloves and pads, wobble board, push up wheel, pull up bar, stability ball, skipping rope, TV and DVD player with various workout DVD's, clock, and my favourite thing: a window.

I have 7 lb, and 5 lb weights, weighted medicine balls, 2 yoga mats, and about 20 dvds. I don't like to see a bunch of workout stuff lying around, so I have cabinets where I can put the equipment away. Someday maybe I'll have a workout room with equipment like the below post :)!

I currently have a treadmill, elliptical, 2 sets of hand weights ( 3 &5 lbs), and various different DVD's. Eventually we are going to add on so I will have a separate room for all this stuff instead of doing it in Living Room or cramped in our bedroom!

We currently live in a ranch house with a finished basement, however, whoever designed our house had a funny mind. Our basement, which would be my first choice for a home gym, has all these little choppy rooms instead of one big open space. So, currently, I have my Jillian Michaels' adjustable hand weights upstairs on the floor by my front door, all my workout DVD's also upstairs as I do them on carpet (NOT my choice) in front of the TV. XBox and Kinect also in upstairs living room and YouTube. A couple resistance bands. We just bought an elliptical, so we are taking one of the choppy basement rooms and going to put that in there near to our big PC so I can listen to music while on the elliptical, move my weights down there and mainly use the basement, the room I will be in has tile floor, the rest of the basement is carpet. However, see my other post, we plan to build our next house and my hubby thinks I should put together my own fitness room and then I won't necessarily have to have a gym membership anymore, but my kids use our YMCA, so will probably keep it still, plus our Y has a really nice pool, hot tub, and steam room. I am really excited because as an incentive to my husband's company's employees to stay fit, they are now going to pay half of our gym membership provided we sign in at least 8 times a month. Psyched over that! Blessings, Michelle

Treadmill, workout DVD's (Coach Nicole, Jillian Michaels, Biggest Loser), dumbbells, and jump rope. I prefer to go hiking which is just 10-20 minutes away. I will settle for walking in the neighborhood on a nice day. (Nice meaning under 90 degrees!!) Hope to get a stability ball, kettleball, and heavier dumbbells.

Exercise bike (my favorite for watching TV), treadmill, elliptical, steps, free weights, mini trampoline...most everything bought used first so I could see if it would really get used before buying better quality. The exercise bike is probably my 6th or 7th because I usually ride while watching TV and the time goes by really fast.

It would be a stretch for me to call it a "home gym," but my corner of the living room has a yoga mat, 5 and 8lb weights (I need to get heavier ones now), an 8lb medicine ball, stability ball, and resistance band. I have about 8 go-to DVDS, but lots more stored on my computer or found on the internet. My main cardio is usually running outside! I long for the day when I can have a separate room with more equipment -- I have a feeling my city life won't allow that for quite a while ;)

I'm spoiled! Home gym: Elliptical, Exercise bike, 2 treadmills, fairly nice setup for weights, dumbbells and barbells, and 2 stationary trainers for our real bikes. Here's the kicker, I avoid working out inside (except lifting weights). Oh ya, I also swim inside when it's cold. My typical gym: mountains close to my house for hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, mountain biking; miles of roads with a variety of hills/flats for running/biking; local lakes for swimming during the summer. I also spend a lot of time at an indoor pool about 20 minutes from home for swimming. Yesterday did a 3 mile run in 10 degree weather. I love to be outside, ESPECIALLY in the mountains!

I love working out at home, I don't miss struggling to get the cardio equipment, dealing with distracting loud cell phone calls, hemen who grunt every time they life a weight, travel time and excessive cost. I have an elliptical, free weights, exercise band, kettleballs and gym ball. I do lots of calisthenics that require no equipment. I have extra time to work out, when and if I want to, several times a day at no extra expense, without makeup or special workout clothes.

I require a great pair of jogging shoes and a stretchy band. That is all I have for a home gym. I have been jogging for 40 years, and added the band about 20 years ago. That is the essence of my home gym. Sometimes I use Campbell soup cans for weights. Five years ago I added a yoga mat, but I only use it when I go to Pilates and Yoga classes.

I don't have a room that I can use solely for my home gym, so I have a treadmill in one guest bedroom; light weights, medicine ball and resistance band are in a decorative storage box in the livng room, where I use them in front of the television, or while watching a fitness video on the computer. Stability ball is upstairs, and I generally use it in the hall.

We have a heavy duty elliptical like at the gym- it was a good investment for snowy mornings when I don't want to trek out to the gym. I go to the gym most every morning, but at home for those occasional mornings when I want to sleep in, I use the elliptical, exercise ball, resistance bands, yoga mat, 5, 10, 15lb dumbbells, and dumbbells and plates that can get me up to about 60 lbs. I'd like to add a small bench and a bar for my birthday.

We were finally able to get a home gym when DD1 moved out 8 years ago. We redid her old bedroom with a baseball/football theme. The wall are painted Dallas Cowboy blue and grey. Dallas Cowboy curtains. On the walls are decals and posters. I have a treadmill, recumbent bike, gazelle, weight bench, free weights and kettlebells. Even though there is a TV in there if I want to oo a DVD I have to do it in the family room because all of that stuff pretty much fills the room.

I have a book shelf full of dvd's, I have a chest with my Powerblocks, resistant bands in 4 different tension, tubing in different tensions, weighted gloves, wrist weights in 1, 2 and 3 pound increments. Yoga blocks (I'm not sure I've ever used them but found them cheap), recently added fire walker loops. A family of Kettlebells....high step, club step, Power tower, barbell, plates. 12# body bar, 3/4 in matting so as to not disturb the neighbor when stepping...furniture movers, And my computer (I like to keep track of my workouts) and a stability ball that doubles as a desk chair. I think that's it that's over there. I do use a dining room chair every now and again.

Another gym rat here. I do have a barbell with 20 lbs on it (that I dug out of my closet last week. Used to be my dad's), a set of resistance bands, a 65 cm stability ball, a yoga mat, and a yoga block. I tend not to use them much at home, though. Especialyl not the ball. I have two kids, and blowing that thing up is like sticking a candle in front of a moth. ;) I can do any workout I do at the gym on the stuff I have, though. I just have a painfully small, cluttered house, so not much room to do any real exercise.

I belong to a gym but my "home gym" is the playground next to where I live. It has pullup bars and various other kinds of bars where I can get a complete workout. I also have pushup stands and a heavy resistance cord. Also a pedometer and a stopwatch. That's it for equipment.

I still have a gym membership, but I also do some workouts at home. I have an assortment of resistance bands as well as push ups bars. I'll admit that I don't use those much anymore. But they are still there if I want to use them. I also have some weights as well as a body bar. don't really use that much anymore. I prefer the resistance bands.
I could get a kettlebell, but I'm more worried about accidentally dropping it and damaging the floor.
I would like to get a TRX system for home use. My only problem is the door anchor. I really don't have a stable door to hold one.

I about two months ago I gave up my gym membership because it was in the opposite direction of my new job so I just wasn't going enough to justify keeping it. Since then I have been gradually purchasing things that make my home workouts more versatile. It's got me wondering what other people's "home gym" looks like. My "home gym" currently consists of: - 55 cm Stability Ball - Yoga Mat and DVDs - Resistance Tubes (10-45lbs with door anchor and ankle straps) - 15 lb Kettlebell I am always looking for new stuff, but I have found that I can do a lot with what I have... It doesn't hurt that I live within walking distance from a park that I can get my cardio in. Everyone (but especially people who primarily workout at home), what equipment do you use?
