Do not work out yet. You should get a recommendation from a physical therapist. For now, take anti-inflammatory medications and RICE- Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate. Alternate the use of heat, like from a hot bath, not a hot pad, because often with injured muscle, it responds better to wet heat.
