If my completely un-medically-trained self had to speculate, I'd guess it was something more likely to be like better posture from the improved core strength and strength training you do. Alternatively, I'd assume I was either mis-measured before, or am getting an anomalous reading now.
I don't think (although I don't *know*) you can actually lengthen your spine in that way. People have been trying for centuries to "grow" by stretching themselves by hanging from things. ;)
I wouldn't go rushing to the doctor in a complete panic or anything, but it's worth mentioning in your next checkup. :)
