I strained my calf after an intense Treadmill interval routine - and made it worse by continuing my kickboxing. I finally saw a sports medicine dr., and he basically just gave me stretches and strengthening exercises for my calf. I agree with laying off of it and doing other types of exercises that don't work the calf. (So no jumping around at all.) When you're able to do calf raises with no pain at all, start incorporating more of the work that you started, but go slowly.

Focus on yoga and strength training, swimming for cardio if you can, for a couple of weeks and reevaluate.

There's really not anything you can do to speed up the process. It takes the time it will take; keep up your nutrition, and avoid strenuous activity that will exacerbate it.

I agree with the previous poster. I would rest and if the pain continues or gets worse, see your doctor to get it checked out.

If you are feeling pain like that, stop the program and go see your doc. Insanity is really intense. I don't know anything about your fitness level, but I thought I was in great shape after doing P90X. I did Insanity for awhile, and ended up with a knee injury that took 6 months to rehab.
There are plenty of ways to exercise effectively, and get the results you want, without having an injury!
