I am a bit anal and reset every 5 lbs or so. But 10 lbs is probably good.. Just know that if you haven't reset the settings lately, you are probably burning less than the HRM shows. I've actually started to use online heart rate to calories burned calculators where I can put in my weight for the day, and then adjust for my max hr and such.

Hi,

I think for every 10-15 pounds loss would be a good time to reset your settings.

I've had a HRM for a little over a month now and have lost weight since. I was wondering after how many pounds that one loses do they change their weight settings? I'm guessing once you change those the monitor will be a bit more accurate. I was going to try after every 8-10 pounds.
