I am a bit anal and reset every 5 lbs or so. But 10 lbs is probably good.. Just know that if you haven't reset the settings lately, you are probably burning less than the HRM shows. I've actually started to use online heart rate to calories burned calculators where I can put in my weight for the day, and then adjust for my max hr and such.
