You will be the one to best answer your question for yourself. I can tell you what I learned about myself which may be helpful.
I tend to become easily distracted so have to separate visual space for different activities. I sleep in the bedroom (no TV there!), study at the library desk, cook and eat in the kitchen (not the living room in front of TV), go to work at my job (not home!) exercise either outside or at the fitness club gym, etc. Different spaces have a different mindset for me. I am not one who can exercise at home because that is where I work (laundry, dishes, cooking, paperwork, cleaning floors, etc.) and that work is never completed.
It did help me to create spaces for activities and I needed separate ones. Maybe your "relaxing" room is not the space to exercise. Some people can do it, but not me.
