Well this could happen for a variety of reasons. But first have you been tracking your calories accurately and your fitness accurately? When people aren't losing weight, a lot of the time it tends to be due to the fact that they are not keeping track properly. Don't forget its calories in versus calories out. You need a consistent deficit to lose weight.
What types of fitness have you been doing? Be sure to include both cardio and strength training. Both are important.
Keep an eye on the types of foods you are eating. Although you may be eating within your calorie range, you may be consuming too much sodium or too many carbs to notice a difference on the scale. Some people are sensitive to certain types of foods, so track these and see if you are high or over.
Lastly, have you lost any inches? You may just be gaining muscle at first. Remember that the number on the scale isn't everything. Feeling good about yourself, your body and your health are more important.
It's never too late to succeed.
