I hope someone out there can explain why after my first week of diet and exercise do I not see any weight loss ( i gained 1.5 lb)? Im confused...how do you know if you are working out enough to loose weight?
How frequently should I workout? I read an article saying the minimum is 1hour a day 5 days a week to effectively loose weight. I've been doing 30mins for 3 days a week. Could it be Im not getting enough exercise?
My diet is eating fruits and veggies, home cooked food and water. I don't want to starve myself because I've done that, lost weight, and gained twice as much later. I've also incorporated protein shakes and weightloss supplement ( oxyelite pro) which has help with managing portions. I also cut my calories to 400 less then what it takes my body to maintain. is that ok?
When I go to the gym what is the most effective workout cycle? I usually go on the eliptical for 20mins and then some of the weight machines for another 20.
I also notice my heartrate is reach high 160's 170's just on the eliptical! is that ok?
Any comments or advice is much appreciated, I wish I had a coach or could afford a personal trainer! lol
