Best thing about having a good treadmill is that it is ready absolutely any time, so you are never a slave to a gym schedule or the weather or the time of day. Mine has been one the secrets to my success, since it's always there as a way to keep me on track. I've even been for a run on it at 10pm just to get my planned workout in for the day. (Not often - but I've done it!)
I agree with everyone else -- don't wait for the 2nd. Just on there and get moving, and make it a habit! And remember -- you don't have to kill yourself to do your body a lot of good. (Ignore the "Biggest Loser" mentality -- it may work in the short term, but believe me, you can't keep it up at that intensity forever and when you fall off that wagon, you fall hard.) It took me a while to figure out that going "all out" every time I worked out just wore me out, got me injured, and didn't really give me the benefit I was looking for anyway. Go hard sometimes - to test your limits and make yourself stronger -- but the real key to success is just getting in your regular, moderate workouts (together with watching what you eat, both during the diet phase and after you reach goal).
Congrats on making this investment in your health. Enjoy!!
