The good news is that weight loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise. As long as you eat healthy and stay within your ranges, you should be fine. Swimming is a great form of exercise, so do that, but don't overdo it so that you don't hurt yourself even more. Take it easy.

I second changing your goals in fitness setup for the time being.

Weight loss is through proper nutrition, not exercise, so just change your exercise weekly goals temporarily to 0 and eat in your new range.

UUUGHHHHHHH i pulled my back in mid nov but kept working out ( pain was not bad just an inconvenience) well here i am end of dec. and all the muscles all on the right side of my back are effected from the ankle to my neck. Dr told me no workouts for 6-8weeks (i can swim 3 days a week) and i get PT 3 x's a week. What am i to do? How can i keep with the weight loss? How do i keep what gains i have made with my work outs from slipping away? So upset!!! The Dr said i can try 5 minute walks 3 times a day in another week, but not the treadmill uuuggghhhhhh.
