Hi Patti,

Questions like this are so difficult to answer, even if someone has a similar pain. The reason, many times the source of the pain you are experiencing is not always the cause of the pain. In other words, the cause of my calf pain was not my calf per se, but the result of tight hamstrings, poor glute development and tight hip flexors.

If after taking a couple of days off you are not better, you may want to contact your doc or sports medicine specialist who can do an in-person evaluation. Recommending stretches without knowing the cause/source could potentially make your situation worse.

Take care!

Coach Nancy

Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I have a pain that starts in my lower back, right at the base of my spine that radiates into my left hip. It is more painful in my hip, almost like it is inside my hip. A little on my background. I have been walking since the end of August/beginning of September. I also have been doing different workouts on my x-box connect, such as skinny jeans workout, kicking boxing, some other things, but mostly the two I've listed. More recently, for about 4 weeks I've been walking with my b/f. We walk on average 6 days a week ranging from 3-6 miles a day. I also work part-time in retail that includes A LOT of walking, on my feet, reaching, bending, lifting, etc 3-4 times a week. Recently I started to develop this pain in my left hip. I definitely notice it more after I work or during work. If I have a few days off, it seems to go away only to come back again after being at work a few hours. So my question is if anyone else has a similar pain/problem? Does it sound like and injury? Maybe there is something I can do to help the pain, ie stretches, to help. Any ideas would be great. It doesn't stop me from doing anything and the pain comes and goes. Just looking for some ideas/help. Thank you in advance for your ideas!!!

Patti
