Whoohoo!!! I just love morning workouts it makes the whole rest of the day feel healthier, at least to me. If I leave a workout until the evening it is hit or miss on whether I get it done, but if I do it in the AM I find by the afternoon I am wanting to sneak a mini workout in too.

emoticon feels great, doesn't it?

I'm also a morning exerciser, but I do my morning workouts at home. I try to hit the gym after work at least 3 times a week. Today I have a 5:00 appt, so I knew there'd be no gym time this afternoon. I did Pilates AND the elliptical at home (yay!!!)

if I feel like exercising again when I get home, I can. But if I don't feel like it, I've done well for today.

this time of year I really focus on getting into the home workout habit. That way I can still get my workout when the gym gets crowded in January.

GREAT job! I'm also a morning exerciser not because I wouldn't rather sleep in (I definitely would), but because I can create so many excuses for not working out in the afternoons. I fact, I'm now a consistent exerciser because I've made it such a habit to go each morning.

Again, congrats and keep up the great work!

I'm a morning exerciser too, I can always find excuses not to in the afternoon. Good for you for jumping up and just doing it!

I exercise first thing every morning and now if I don't, I am sluggish and tired. Good for you and keep up the good work. We can do this!

I'm lucky enough to have a gym that is free to all state workers in my Department. It's literally, the first door on the left before going into my office. I've been going 4 out of 5 days a week for 3 weeks with my co-worker, and we've become walking buddies on our lunch breaks as well. (We walk 1 1/2 miles in 30 minutes 5 days a week.) I've talked for weeks about waking up and going to the gym before work. I would say, "Oh, I'll do it tomorrow, or Friday, yeah Friday!" Last night, I decided that there were NO excuses today. I set 3 (YES.... 3!!) alarms for 4:15 this morning, packed my breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and got my gym bag and work clothes together. All 3 alarms went off at once, and I considered turning them off and getting back into my warm bed. I knew how disappointed I would be in myself if I did, so I stayed up, and turned every light on in the room to help me wake up. I brushed my teeth, grabbed my lunch bag, hair tie, and walked out the door. It takes me an hour to get to work, so I made it to the gym just before 6. I did cardio and strength training as part of my usual routine. I finshed at 6:35, had time to shower, change, have breakfast, and I'm still here before anyone else... just waiting for the day to start.

I feel engergized, refreshed, and ready-to-go! It takes a lot more planning to go in the morning, but at least I know that there are no "afternoon excuses" as to why I can't go to the gym after work. I think knowing how hard it was to burn those calories this morning will help me say "NO!" to any "tricks" and treats my co-workers have left over from Halloween throughout the day.
