Not sure if you're still looking or if anyone else has this question, but I got insanity from ebay for $35. Brand new and included extra ab workouts

At walmart they sell a dvd box set called supreme 90 day workout for about $20.00 and another option is (not sure if theres any big lots stores in your area) Get Ripped in 90 days (an as seen on tv item) I paid $4.00 for the videos. Havent checked them out yet but for that price its worth looking into.

I would vote for the library, you can borrow them for free.
Also youtube, they have a huge collection and so do SP, looks around, see what you like.

Some public libraries have decent collections that you can check out -- for FREE!. That would be a way to try some things out to see what you like while also prevent you from getting bored as you would be changing DVD's every couple of weeks.

Why insanity in particular? The reason I ask is there are a lot of options out there so I was wondering whether there was something specific you were looking for. There is a 8 week program that people on another forum described as like a lighter "insanity". I don't know how true it is since I don't have Insanity, but it is a pretty solid circuit of body weight exercises and it also gets my heart rate up. It is called Weider X-Factor ST. The program is 8 workouts that you are meant to do 3 times a week, they get progressively harder each week. The intention is that you do cardio on the off days. It comes with a few bonus workouts including a more challenging body weight workout that can extend it to 9 weeks, but I really didn't like the instruction on the bonus workouts (it had a different instructor). I would say this set is good for an intermediate level of fitness, but it can be as challenging as you want to make it. Here is the link on Amazon, www.amazon.com/Weider-X-Factor-St/dp/B0055

Another option that is free, have you looked at the workouts on bodyrock.tv?

Try YouTube. I did the beFit in 90 program that is free on YouTube and enjoyed it. Also, check out your local library. I've gotten some good videos there when I was stuck in a workout rut.

There is one that my husband and I had called 90 day Supreme. We found it at Dollar General for $20. You can find it on E-Bay, but it's way more than $20. You could probably find it on Amazon.com, but I don't know for sure. It's basically the same as P90X. It tells you day by day what to do, and comes with a chart showing what to do each day, plus a book that tells you about the foods you need to eat for max results. Watch out for the DVD in there called Inferno, though. That one will kick your tail. We had the air conditioner on in DECEMBER, and I still got too hot and had to go outside in the 30 degree weather to cool off!

I have most of the dvds listed, but my favorites are still Insanity, BBX Hardcore 90, and Asylum. All are good and give you variety, but the insanity and BBx have such a great combination of cardio and strength training. Insanity has a 20 minute (1 disc) version, but it is very hard! It will give you a glimpse of the program for less money though. I found it on amazon.com.

I agree with the other post. See if you can add a couple of Jillian's other DVD's to your set that are cheaper. Here is a little about each one.
The No MoreTrouble zones and Banish Fat boost Metabolsm are 45 min workouts. the first uses light weights the other no weights.
The Ripped in 30 has 4 workouts each about 30 min long and uses light weights mixed in.
Killer buns and thighs - 2 workouts works lower body only
Extreme shed And Shred - not my favorite - 2 workouts, one is 30 min long the other 45, and you could do them back to back for a super long workout.
Kickbox fastfix - 3 workouts about 20 min long each lots of punches and kicks. I do all 3 back to back for a 60 min workout.

I feel like most of the 60-90 day workout systems you'll find are going to be in the $100+ range. You could try buying a few individual DVDs and trading them out. I've used a lot of the Jillian Michaels DVDs which you can buy for pretty cheap on Amazon. My favorites are Ripped in 30, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones. That's just a personal preference though. If I were you I would look around Amazon or maybe go to some place like Target or Walmart and pick out a few different ones to try out. :)

I can't afford the INSANITY dvd and I have the 30 day shred but feel bored by it now - what is another good fat burning workout for a busy working mum?
