with the running you have been doing, you'll do GREAT!
eating - the night before, don't eat anything too crazy. I've felt awful at races where I've eaten things like pizza, wings, Mexican food, etc. for dinner the previous night. Before the race - do what you feel. If you are hungry, eat a little something (I'll eat an apple or a breakfast bar). If you don't really want to eat, don't. Just make sure you have something with you for after the race.
you really aren't doing anything different; just running with a large group and possibly at a different time of day. And probably an adrenaline boost.
The most handicapped person in the world is a negative thinker; a person who has the skills, abilities, talents and tools, yet chooses not to use them.
