You told your doctor that it hurt to the point that you could not walk on it at times and for more than a few days it has recurred, and she did not say or do anything?
I would definitely give her another chance, but if she still does not do anything, find another doctor. Here locally, we have a few "urgent care" facilities that bill insurance at regular doctor rates, but have the xray equipment to tackle a look to see if you have a stress fracture or something like that. If they cannot find something, they could refer to an ortho specialist. For those of us starting out, some aches and pains are to be expected (I had a questionable foot issue end of last week / this weekend) but it went away as of Monday morning; if it had not, I was going to get it xrayed. They should only last a few days, though. Beyond that, it needs a look.
Pain is your body's way of saying something is wrong. If it sticks around for more than a couple days, it needs to be investigated.
