When I was a morning exerciser I would have a piece of fruit before exercise. Half a banana was perfect for me. Play around and see what works for you.

I buy thinwich "bagels" (which are really like round pieces of wheat bread with a hole cut in the middle) and will eat half of one with a little bit of peanut butter spread on top. I'm usually hungry when I get up first thing in the morning and I have found that this helps me tremendously!

I eat nothing before my workouts. I have read a lot about coffee being a good energy thing to have before your workouts. Good luck.

Hi, Depending on the type of workout will determine if I choose to eat something or not. Just know that skipping breakfast in hopes of burning more fat has not been proved scientifially. Having a small piece of fruit or half a bagel can help stabilize your blood sugar and then when you are done working out you can then finish your breakfast. Coach Nancy

I work out in the AM and I don't eat before I workout. I do DVDs in my living room so I just stretch a little and get started. I typically don't eat for about an hour after I'm done working out...
Every day is another chance to turn things around.

Hi everyone.
I'm new around here *waves*, and just looking for some input. I generally wake up before my two children, and first thing hit my coffee pot. With my new routine, I'm wanting to change things up and workout before my kids wake up - I'm thinking that coffee isn't the best pre-workout "meal". If you workout first thing in the morning, what do you eat? Should I grab a piece of fruit? Or what do you suggest! Thanks for any input.
