I used to take at least 2/week, now I take only 1. I just enjoy what I feel like after I work out.

2 or 3. I like working out every other day. But I usually end up taking the dogs for walks on my off days so I'm not sure that counts.

Way too many at the moment; I rest more than I exercise. I've recently stopped going to my gym and am only running once a week, and I need some fresh ideas in exercise, preferably something free or very inexpensive and NOT monotonous.

I'm doing the 28 day bootcamp right now and do 10 minutes minimum of ST every day. I usually only take 1 day off from cardio during the week.

I do cardio on MWF and strength on TTh. Saturday I like to hike or kayak but if not that then I hit the gym for more cardio/strength. Sunday I rest. My sister told me that your muscles need 48 hours to recover so that's why I only do strength every other day. It seems to be working for me. I think it's the consistency that is the key to any program.

Since January this year I set my goal for exercise everyday. And I usually don't take rest days, but every once in a while I just need a day off so I take it when my body feels like it needs it, otherwise I don't. Currently I'm doing elliptical 60 minutes a day and strength full body 3 days a week.

I do light days though. Today will be one.

I force myself to take one rest day, although it's psychologically very difficult for me. I run six days a week, and I know I need a day off every week to recover and to prevent overtraining. I just never like it.

I do something most days, but at least one day a week, I only ride my horse, do yoga or walk, if I don't take the day off completely. The other six days, I try to run, do kettlebells or other strength training.

I generally do some exercise everyday, although I try to lighten up a little one or two days. If I do take a complete day off, I really try to limit it to just one day (unless sick), so I won't allow myself to slip back into making excuses and not working out.

Nice topic to think about.

I was only taking 1, but my weight loss and other goals is right on track and so I decided to skip my 6th day of cardio. I should still be losing 1.5 lbs. per week, with an additional day of rest for my legs and knees.

I question, therefore I think; I think, therefore I am; ........ I think?

I take one day off per week, sometimes two. I have more free time on weekends so I try to do big workouts then - like big hikes or something. If I try to exercise every day I soon feel like it's just not quality exercise... like I'm lagging a little.

When it comes to cardio, I don't take any rest days, but I do weight training 4 days a week. I schedule 60 minutes a day, so on the days I don't do weight training, I do 60 minutes of low-impact cardio (my exercise of choice is dancing like an idiot in my apartment, listening to my favorite music). On the days I do weight training, I only do 40 minutes, since my weight training routine typically takes about 20 minutes. I do 5-10 minutes of stretching after every workout.

On weekends, I may do some additional cardio like taking a walk on one of the trails near my place.

I just find that unless I'm really feeling sick, I am a much calmer, saner person when I do that hour of work on myself every day. I have more focus, more energy, and can handle stress a lot better this way.

1, often none. I vary the intensity - most days I do kettlebells but I will do pilates or a stability ball workout when my body tells me I need to give it a break.

I usually only plan on 1 but life sometimes gets in the way and I end up with 2.

1-2 days a week. I find that if I take any more, it's hard to get motivated again.

I have two rest days per week. If I try to workout 6 days a week, I burn out or life gets in the way, but with two days off per week, I feel more in control and like I can handle the rest of the week.

Depends how well my body has recovered after a workout. Sometimes I have two days off but on the days that I don't do a workout, I usually walk or ride my bike, keep moving incidentally rather than an all out workout.

Usually 2 for me, but it depends on how I feel, what I have been eating, and what I have been doing. Even if I take a whole week off, I just start right next week.

I am going to stay healthy!

1 rest day during this 30 day challenge because of timing of the exercise postings....

1 rest day a week and it depends on my schedule. This week, I took Sunday off. Next week, it will probably be Monday because I work both jobs.
