TOTALLY doable! I'm on my second round of health goals. I dropped 20 pounds in about three months with healthy eating and exercise. I was in college and have not gained it back in about two years. I'm trying to lose about 15 more before my wedding on May 31st. My first fitting will probably be in early March. It really depends on when your fitting is, but I would say it's fairly doable!
The first time I lost weight what worked for me was a low carb plan (not no carb and not Atkins). I stuck to about 40-60 net carbs per day. Fruit and veggies were freebies, and I could have as much as I wanted of those. I limited breads, pastas, and rice from my diet. The weight came off steadily, and I didn't feel deprived. Exercise is not quite as big of a deal as people think. Weight loss is 80% in the kitchen. You cannot work off a bad diet.
