I wore this for the reception. A dressmaker turned the bows on the top into cap sleeves (required by my religion) for $25, and it was wonderful. Very comfortable cotton, too! http://www.unique-vintage.com/soft-white-floral-only-have-eyelets-swing-dress-p-14913.html For the ceremony I wore one that was $75 from Goodwill, but I don't have pictures of it.

We are going totally non-traditional. This is my wedding dress, only mine is a darker blue: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/evan-picone-dress-sleeveless-satin-tie?ID=368162&CategoryID=5449&LinkType=&swatchColor=Navy#fn=BRAND%3DEvan%20Picone%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D11%26ruleId%3D65%26slotId%3D8

I'm having difficulty finding my exact dress online, but this one is very, very close. Mine also has a cream sash but I'll be trading it out for a peacock blue sash. http://jlm-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/styles/tk/br/zoom/tara-keely-bridal-lace-gown-elongated-strapless-sweetheart-satin-ribbon-beaded-natural-waist-chapel-train-2206_zm.jpg

Waah, my dress is not easy to show, actually, because I fell in love with an £10k dress by Stewart Parvin (couturier to the frickin queen!). So, I purchased a simple satin dress from a department store, some antique french lace, and a dressmaker will be adding tulle to the skirt, the lace over the bodice, and a ribbon sash at the waist. The original beaded belt has already been removed. The photo shows me about 10 lbs bigger than I am now, and I'm hoping to be down another 15 lbs pre-wedding! http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/298719_10101338733469472_987023725_n.jpg

Here is my dress!
http://www.morilee.com/Bridals/julietta/3124
I am really large chested so i had to actually order a dress in a plus size, and I have to be tied in it. I ordered the smallest size it came in, but with me looking to shape up now I'm going to be faced with some major alterations. :/ But I loved it too much to let it go! What do you think? Was that a bad idea? I'm still trying to recover from the fact i had to order my first plus sized anything.

I got married September 28, 2012 and wore this gown: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Satin-Pick-Up-Ball-Gown-T9309_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Silhouette-Ball-Gown I felt so beautiful in it!

My dress is actually a bridesmaid dress but I tried on tons (around 50) gowns and only the bridesmaid dresses felt right. Originally I picked out a different dress but after a disaster with the dress store I had to change and I think I may even like this one more than my original choice, It's going to be in Ivory with a beautiful belt thing in a cappuccino color around the waist. http://www.alfredangelo.com/collections/productdisplay.aspx?productID=9109b3cc-6021-4d1a-923e-452b0871f5de&categoryID=772f03c9-de43-4942-bfa0-da77e21ebd65&pg=1&colorId1=

I have a picture of the dress I want to wear on my page. I'm getting married on Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island in Georgia in August! So I'm trying to loose 30 lbs before then. Have a lot of work to do. Good luck to all of you!
Imagine that day, where you can finally say, "I did it!" When you can say, "I never gave up, I never quit!" Imagine that day when you win that gold medal, or reach your goal weight. Where these moments of pain turn into memories for that goal you wanted to obtain. It might take long to reach that moment, but as soon as you get there you'll thank yourself for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

I love all of your dresses but NoriGrey, yours really stood out! its so beautiful! and I love that its not white, spectacular! I really hope you find it someplace affordable! I can't find exactly my dress but this is close: http://www.buyweddinggowndress.com/2009-wedding-gown-dress-detail-4362.html I got mine at a place called the brides project, its a shop that carries motly new and some second hand gowns and all the money goes to Cancer charities specifically sending kids with cancer to camp and things like that. The dress I picked was second hand (a maggie sottero sp?) it came with a photo of the previous bride wearing it and a hand written note- I loved that about it! I am very sentimental and loved the idea that I get to share a dress that someone else got to have there most spectacular day in as well as taking away from the "wedding machine" and giving back to charity at the same time.

My roommate got hers for them (her wedding is in August) she got it a month earlier then planned and it looks GORGEOUS on her. I trust them mostly because I have already tried on that dress in a different store. If that wasn't the case I wouldn't do it. Cheers to hugging all the right places and being able to move in it, but still being conservative enough for church! Every bodies jaws are going to DROP I can't wait!

AML05030 - have you used the site before? I heard a lot of scary stories about ordering dresses online, so I chickened out and used a shop. I was able to bargain with them though...but it still wasn't the price of ordering online...

http://www.thebridalshop.com/sincerityplus/4508.htm THAT'S MINE! I am going to have it with the cap sleeves. I am going to buy it from a knock off site (because I love peridress.com) BUT I did find this dress at a store and tried it on which is why I am IN LOVE with it! I love corset backs soooo much! Not in white though Definatley Ivory because I am too pale for white, LOL. These dresses are so pretty! I Love the short one! I want a shorter dress for the reception-- but the reason I am buying a know off is because I don't have the money/am cheap so why on earth would I buy 2? (still super jealous though)

Here's mine: http://www.bestbridalprices.com/white-one-wedding-dresses-style-6228-tarima-p-68866.html (although I bought it from a store and not a knock-off website)
It should be in the by the end of March; will have to have it taken in...and hopefully a little more than I originally expected.

I'm not going to do serious wedding-dress thinking for another month or two, but I'm starting to collect ideas. I'll be making my own, and I'm looking for a cocktail/retro look rather than traditional. This is my current favourite dress at the moment - a 1950s wedding dress (though my bow would not be pink!) http://red-wedding.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/1950-s-wedding-dresses-3.jpg
