I just got married 3 weeks ago and my husband and I had similar issues with a groomsman. He said yes originally, but when we started to plan things he started to back out by not returning phone calls. Now granted your not having that exact issue, but at some point you need to think about yourself. You have given her plenty of time to figure out what she wants to do. We eventually just had to call the groomsman and just say, "hey, we want you in the wedding. But there is a lot going on and we need an answer. If you can't or don't want to be in it that is ok. We will still be friends. We just need an answer." After that our groomsman said yes and completely turned around. He was involved and supportive. Good Luck!

You should just come out and ask her. I think you have given her plenty of opportunity to tell you on her own.

My fiance and I asked 2 of our friends to be our bridemaids in August. We're getting married Aug. 2010. The one friend said yes immediately and the other had to wait to see if her family was going on a cruise for her mother's birthday during the week of our wedding to say yes. So, now its November, we still haven't gotten an answer and the clock is ticking (especially for dresses, etc.). I don't want to seem pushy, but we need an answer.

Any suggestions? Anyone else having wedding party drama??
