Ok, update!! All turned out well. I am officially married and mom put the remander of the bill on her credit card that I can pay back later. Yeah!! Also, my daughter's fundraiser payed for her yearbook. She sold over 8 items, so her yearbook was free. Thank you all for the prayers because they were answered. I greatly appreciate you all.

You have to pick and choose what it important and what the kids think are important. You can't always give them what they may want - especially right now with the economy being bad and you need to make sure you have what you need also!

I agree with cobracommander.

And I would say no to the yearbooks. (unless the kids paid for them with their own money) I hear they are up to $200 now and a wasteful expense. I don't even know where my High School yearbooks are, and I don't care to find them either.

Besides if it is that important to your kids. The school always orders extra. And maybe by the end of the school year, you will be in a better financial position.

I also offer you a thought you didn't ask for...

I would encourage you to do something that a lot of parents are too afraid to do in this economy: have a sit-down talk with them about expenses and the true money situation. Everyone needs to know exactly what's going on. It's not a matter of spreading around the suffering, it's about not suffering alone and creating a family team.

Just a thought.

I'm really starting to freak out! My wedding is next month and I don't know how i'm going to be able to afford it now. I keep getting hit up for money for the kids school pictures, yearbooks, etc.... all when I need to be paying off our place and DJ and wedding stuff. If everyone or anyone who reads this, could you please pray for me. That's all I ask, to keep from having a panic or heart attack at this moment. I'm sooo stressed out, I don't know where else to turn.
I tried getting a loan at the bank and my credit bites so bad right now all I can get is a secured credit card, which of course takes money up front to build my credit, which I do not have.
Ok thanks for a lending ear, and hopefully your prayers.
