Not sure why it would disappear from your desktop like that. Assuming you have a Windows-computer (not a Mac), you can give this a try:
Go to your Start Menu (press the Windows key on your keyboard) and then type SparkPeople while on that screen. This will automatically search your computer and find the installed file (Note: you do not have to type into any search box, but can just start typing while the Start Menu page is open). Once it finds the SparkPeopleConnect program, right click the icon and choose to pin it to your Start menu or Taskbar for easy access again. Also you can click to run the SparkPeopleConnect program.
If the SparkPeople Connect application is then running, see if the SyncPoint is green again. If it is not, please check the 3 status indicators within the SparkPeople Connect application on the SyncPoint page and let us know what colors are listed next to each one.
Let me know what happens and we'll go from there if needed.

It has been working for about 2 months. It registered nothing yesterday and then today I looked at the connection and there were no lights on at all. I pulled it out and pt it back in and the light flashed red for a second and then it was dark. When I went to find it on my desktop, it was as if it never existed.
