Then why did I get multiple food items when we both made corrections to the sweet harvest crushed Pineapple?

From a programming standpoint the programmers need to look at this issue as this creates issues. I am assumming you want all the information correct on the master files and when members correct or find a food item that needs correcting they have a way to correct the master file. Having to reenter creates Duplicates and causes the files to get big.

I heard back from the tech team and they said that once you share a food, it basically makes an independent copy of it at that time and then nothing the person that shares it does to the manually entered list will flow to the shared item because those foods are independent of one another after the share. This is done so that if an item is shared and a person continues to change it (they may not be correct changes), you have more control over the food that you imported (you don't see possible incorrect changes).

Unfortunately, you cannot undo a shared item or reshare a food. Once you share a food, itís out there as you shared it, so it's important to make sure the item is correct before sharing it. So in this case, you can either manually enter that item OR your husband can make a new entry and share it so you can import it.

I'm not sure about this so I have sent a note to our tech team and hopefully I'll be able to give you an answer soon.

My husband corrected his typo for Quaker Chewy Granola Bar Peanut Butter Chocolate Cjip to chip. He did a share also. Now I am wanting to know if I have to make a change to my file as the last time I made a change I found 2 entries for the same item I need to make sure how this is going to be fixed so I don't start getting multiple entries for the same item.

I found another food item that my husband made a typo error on and I had him correct it and do the select all on the share page. I am waiting to see if that will fix the typo. I did notice that the item on his list to share still has the typo. How do we get the items to update so I know if I have to edit the food item or not?

I just checked my lists. I now have 2 entries on my list of manually entered foods that both say Pineapple 140g. On my list to edit favorites list it has 1 pineapple at 122g and 1 pineapple at 140g. My husband edited his list and gave me the can to edit my list as I had imported the food from him. when I could not get my list to edit correctly. I went to his site and did the share and clicked the select all button and then shared. Now I have both, some how the select all button helps update your system and then the other members that have imported that food?

I imported the entry from him that shows the 140 g for that item and it is now showing in your favorites list, so I'm not sure why you weren't seeing that happen.

Sweet Harvest Crushed Pineapple. The serving size was 122 g and now is 140 g almost all of the nutrition information needed updated. I went to my husbands site and did a select all on his share in hopes this was how the information is updated on the master system. As I had imported it I went to my favorites and edited manually entered items but the entry is corrected on my favorites but when I go to the meal planner and select favorites and enter the name in the search box it still has the serving size as 122g.

What is the name of the item and what correction did you make?

I have checked my husband corrected his favorites list and it is showing up correctly when he added it to his planner. I corrected my entries on my favorites list and it will NOT update. This is why I have been asking how the system information is updated when a member makes a correction on a food that they enter. I have tried resending his list but My list will not update. Nor are the corrections that I entered in the edit favorites coming over to the food planner. I cannot enter this food item on my meal planner until I can get it to update.!

I corrected the information I had NOT ENTERED it on the tracker as the information was different. I have checked the information on my favorites list and there it is correct with the new information but when I go to the food planner and enter the food name it comes up with the OLD information. I have Pics. The system is not bringing my corrections to the planner. I cannot add that food on my meal until it will show the correct information.,

If you already had that entered on your tracker, it won't update that since it doesn't change past data that has been tracked. If you add it to your tracker again though, it should show the edited information from that time forward.

We noticed that one of our entered foods had a change in the values. I corrected the information in my edit of manually entered foods and saved it. I refreshed my search on my food planner and when I entered that food item name it did not come up with the new values. I did the refresh several times and even doubled checked if the information was saved. It was but will not pull over so I can enter the correct information on my food planner.
