The last update we had was yesterday afternoon saying to expect it to be down for 24-48 hours. You will be able to sync all your data once the system is back up.

I'm sure it will keep the data, but I'm wondering if their servers can handle almost every SPAT downloading at the same time! The best thing to do would bring the servers up in the middle of the night and let the SPATs download gradually over the course of the day as people either get near their computers or turn them on for the day. Better than losing it all to a system overload.

When the company that makes the SPAT gets their problem fixed, they'll notify the coaches, who will let us know. Hopefully, things will simply start working again, but if we need to follow any particular special process, the coaches will let us know that as well.

The coaches will send a message to tracker owners when things are working again, or you could just check the Spark Tracker Team page and check it from time to time. The good thing is that the tracker unit itself will continue to track for up to 2 weeks, so we won't lose any data.

I also find myself in the same perdicument, the USB dobber is red and the dot that talks of connecting to the Data Center is red. The other two dots are Green How do I fix this Please. It has been like this for almost 3 days now.

I posted a team announcement about this on the Spark Activity Tracker team:

There is some system maintenance happening with the servers for the Spark Activity Tracker right now. During this time, no data will be able to sync and your SyncPoint may turn red during the maintenance. Once the maintenance is complete, you will be able to sync your data again.

I too am having the same problem. Dongle is red and the last dot is red where it talks of connectivity. I tried re-installing it and it tells me it cannot connect to the internet.... well duh... I am on the internet obviously because I am here. I wish they would let us know if there is a problem how long it will be out.

Same for me. Dongle is red and so is the dot for data center connection. We just switched internet providers today so I thought it might have something to do with that but everything else in my house is working fine with the internet. I'm glad I came across this thread. I would have driven myself crazy trying to figure it out!

Same here - we had just finished re-installing Firefox due to a different problem and in the process installed a new registry checker and a new spyware program. Then I noticed the dongle was red; thought the new programs had wiped the SPAT out. When I tried to redo the install, I got the message that the computer wasn't connected to the Internet (but obviously, it is). Tried to send a message via that page, but again, it wasn't connected.

At least the SPAT itself will hold the data til they get the problem fixed!

I just changed my battery on my tracker.
It lights up with all the green lights.
The USB-plugin is RED.
On the bottom of my screen, when I click on the SPARK icon it shows that:
Data Connection (is RED)

I clicked reset & it still is red. How do I get my computer & Tracker to work together again?
