Hi,

I'll try to see what I can do. Please pass on to your Spark tech team that you have a request for the Spark tracker to be more user friendly in terms of swimming.

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it,

You'll have to experiment, but I would wear it in the place that has the most movement. If you're doing lap swimming, that would probably be somewhere on your upper body (like wrist, clipped to the top of your suit, etc.) It's not designed specifically for swimming, but some members have found luck with it in the pool.

Hi,

Do you mean, wear it on my wrist? Or my ankle? Is it accurate enough?" I've been doing that, but I wonder if it's accurate.Because if I wear it on my wrist it says cycle activity. Lol. I haven't tried it on my ankle, but I should. I love the darn tracker though. Lol.

Thanks for answering!

As long as you're wearing the SAT in a place that detects your movement, it should pick up on that. If it classifies the workout as a "general workout" for example, that means it knows you did something but isn't sure exactly what. So if you go to your Activity Tracker page and hover over the "general workout", you'll see a "reclassify" button. Click there and you can select from one of the swimming entries.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

Hi,
I swim almost daily and I know there are many SP members that swim too. I am a dedicated swimmer and I am dedicated to this site.

I am requesting you do something about making next version of the SP tracker compatible with swimming or the version after.

Just think of all the swimmers that would flock to this site to monitor their swimming. I don't understand why swimming is excluded as an activity with the SP tracker. The Polar Watch is a wrist watch. It tracks swimming easily. Is the computer in this tracker that much more advanced that you cannot include it in the SP tracker? I would even pay more if you hand one.

Right now, I don't know of any tracker that work and LINK on this site for swimming. If I'm wrong please tell me which tracker does work for swimming on SparkPeople.
