Yes, it will clear out your steps and info from your previous tracker, so it is like you are starting over.

Just to be sure, if I ever use the new tracker will it start me all over in the program?

PEANUT-M-MS - I responded to your previous messages, but I'm still not understanding your full description of the issue. However, it doesn't matter which dongle you use in your computer. The Spark Activity Tracker will work with any of the USB SyncPoints that come with the tracker or that we sell on the site; they do not have to go with specific Spark Activity Trackers.

My question got put way down on the list, so you may not get this one. I was using my original tracker. And I THOUGHT I was using the new dongle. So when I started using the NEW tracker, it didn't work with the dongle in the computer. I'm thinking they must have sent me a dongle to go with my original tracker, because when I put a new battery in the SPT, it started working again. And then I found that the new SPT still had a dongle in its packaging, so, must be the new tracker is to be used if I ever use the new dongle. Will that start me all over again in the program?

I sent my address after SP promised to send a new dongle to replace the one I have that is dead. Then today I got a message that my dongle is not working. Can you check to see if my new dongle is on the way. Thanks.

Using the new dongle wouldn't affect it. However, I'm confused as to which Spark Activity Tracker you are using. Are you using your original Spark or your new one? Did you disconnect your original Spark or is that still connected to your SparkPeople account?

That is not it. You should see the SparkPeople log in there. If not, you may need to search for the SparkPeople Connect and run the program. It sounds like it may not be running, which will not allow your Spark to sync.

Go to your Start Menu (press the Windows key on your keyboard) and then type SparkPeople while on that screen. This will automatically search your computer and find the installed file (Note: you do not have to type into any search box, but can just start typing while the Start Menu page is open). Once it finds the SparkPeople Connect program, right click the icon and choose to pin it to your Start menu or Taskbar for easy access. You can then click on that program to open it and get it to run.

This dongle came with my new tracker. (I left my dongle in FL when I returned north this spring.) However, I used the old tracker with the new dongle, as I had just recently installed a new battery in it and figured I might as well use it if it worked with the new dongle. Is it possible this may have confused it when I started using the new tracker? (Old one was going deader by the day and needed a new battery.)

I do not have a Mac. The only thing that I can find in the System Tray that could even possibly have anything to do with the Tracker is one with a red and white X on it that says
"Scan to Comp;uter is currently unavailable. Might this be it?

Please check to make sure the SparkPeople Connect application is running by locating it in the System Tray on your computer, which is located in the bottom right corner of your screen near the date and time. You may need to click the arrow in that area to view all programs in your System Tray. If you are a Mac user, you can look for the SparkPeople Connect application in your dock near the bottom of your screen.

If the SparkPeople Connect application is installed and running, please check the 3 status indicators on the SyncPoint page and let me know what colors are listed next to each one.

It lit only once one green light at a time traveling around the circle. Never more than one light as it traveled. The dongle didn't light up at all yesterday morning, but was lit green all afternoon, never logging in my steps at all. I pulled the dongle out and replugged it into the computer. No tracking. It is lit now, but not tracking. Very discouraged as I usually get between the 6000 recommended steps (for my age group) and 12,000 steps on a good day. Now I have zero steps every day. YUCK!!! I've just been one big old ZERO all week long.

Is your Spark Activity Tracker lighting up at all? If it is lighting up, are the lights green or red? Do you see your SyncPoint (the dongle plugged into your computer) is lit at all?

My new tracker is not recording. My old one stopped a few days ago, but I figured it must be the battery. But this tracker was still sealed in its packaging so there shouldn't be any battery problems. The first day I had it on, it shoed a quick circle of lights when I tapped on it.
