That sounds weird how the Start page is acting for you. Do you think it could be an issue with an ad covering up part of the page or something like that? If that seems to be what is going on, our ad team definitely wants to know about it so they can investigate. We never want ads to actually interfere with your ability to use the site. If you think it may be an ad issue, please take a screenshot showing your entire page so we can see what is going on and attach that to an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include this additional info that may be helpful: what type and version browser are you using, what type computer (Windows, Mac?), what general part of the world do you live in (as ads are often regional).
