Yes, the problem I have is when I've made a recipe and kind of made it my own, not following another recipe, it's hard for me to know what to make the servings per recipe

For instance, I make soup- but then I don't know how "many" one cup servings are in the total batch.
I guess i Just need to weigh the whole amount or put it in a big bowl to count the number of cups. It's kind of cumbersome though! :) Oh well, worth it to be healthy!

I eat loads of casseroles and soups. I bulk cook them and freeze in single serve containers. It saves a lot of time, and some money, and helps ensure good nutrition when really tired.

Anyway, to answer your question - I weigh everything I put into the pot and then when I have divided the meals up, I divide each ingredient by the number of serves and enter that into the Nutrition Tracker for the meal. Then before I add anything else, I hit "Create a Group" and save that in my groups with the date and what it is for identification later on.

Yes, you really DO need to enter everything (other than water) because it all has calories etc.

You can use the recipe builder at www.sparkrecipes.com/ to create and portion your casseroles. Once they are in the tracker, every time you make one, all you have to do is select the recipe from the recipes tab on the nutrition tracker.

I am new to the program and am excited to get started, we have a lot of casseroles in our house because they are easy to make ahead and cook after a long day at work, what is the best way of entering them, do I need to enter all the ingredients and them make as a group or is there a better way?
