thanks!
Especially with the 'add your own catagory'
Just today I entered a drink and had to use g since there was no ml option.
And I know I can google ___ g = oz (or whatever), but it does add the dread of math homework to the experience... especially when you find a whole bunch of choices there but only listing 'servings' and are thus forced to make entry #500 for the same food because you grow tired of finding one that's weighed out (and in your units).
Again, thanks for passing it on ^_^

I have an extensive list of foods under the Group List. I use an iPad and have complained that it's too time consuming to scroll the list. Can a narrow list feature be added to the Group list? Please advise.

The Recent list is helpful. How long does food items stay on the list? Please advise.

I have used the SparkPeople Tracker for many years. The recent changes to the tracker have made tracking so time consuming and frustrating. Please advise if further changes are under discussion.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. Regarding your first suggestion, we do have a converter available on the site, though not exactly as automated as what you describe. You can find a link to the serving size calculator just under the drop-down menu used to select the meal you want to add to. Clicking that link pulls up a pop-up window with the calculator.

I will pass along both of your suggestions, however. Thank you for the feedback!

Hi,
I wanted to make two suggestions for the calorie tracker that would really help out. I know these would take some work, but I think everyone would appreciate them.
One, which I think will be simpler, is to have a built-in converter for weights. It is extremely frustrating having weighed something in grams and then having to find a converter because the item was put in with oz (or vice versa)... and since these DO have a simple converter, I don't think it would take too much coding to simply have every food entered in grams to automatically have an oz option or vice versa.
The second suggestion is to remove the "serving" option (or at least NOT make it the default) and either let people choose grams or let them write what a serving actually is. There are SO many entries that frustrate me to no end, where I find what I want to enter, but all it says is the name of the food/dish and options are in "servings". What is a serving, no one knows... if its a packaged food (say chips) it varies by brand (and you rarely have the bag to check at THAT exact time), and if its not (say chicken) it can mean utterly different things for each person. Did the person who added it mean that one serving was a breast? Half a breast? It gets worse when its a 'serving' of something that doesn't really have a serving size specified.
It would be simpler if instead of picking the 'serving' option you could write '17 chips' or 'half a breast' or 'one snickers bar'. I know some people write it in the name, but then it gets too long to read through and I know other sites that have this that make this FAR clearer.

Thanks for hearing me out, and I do love the site ^_^
