It doesn't have a timer on it, but if you are doing an activity for 10 or more continuous minutes, then it will track that and list it as a workout event, which is then added to your SparkPeople account.

I'm interested in possibly buying it, but since I can't see it in person, I want to know if there is a timer option which allows me to track how many minutes I walked or biked or hiked, etc. My current pedometer has that option, and I don't want to lose that if I were to switch.
