It's working now. I had to go to my downloads folder and grab the executable file that I used when I got my first one, back in September.

I couldn't get the file downloaded from the website to work.

There was an issue for some syncing their data, but that has been corrected. Are you still having this issue? Are you trying to install the software or do you already have the software installed?

It has been about 48 hours since my tracker has worked. Any word from the vendor when we can expect to be able to sync activity again. It is really getting frustrating. I know it's not SP's fault but the vendor should be doing a better job of handling their issues.

Hi does this issue with the vendor affect initial set up? I am having issues with the device being set up on my computer. When I initially try to set it up, it says it cannot find an internet connection but I have one.

Hello I'm having the same problem with the installer saying its "Unable to Connect to Internet" I am definitely on the internet now.

Hello
I'm having the same problem, with the installer giving me an error message saying
Unable to connect to the internet, when I'm definitely connected to the internet.

I am on an iMac OX 10.9.2

Can someone suggest how to fix this?

I received my tracker, but I haven't been able to install it because it keeps saying it cannot connect to the internet during setup. I have full access to all websites, and I've tried all of the trouble shooting methods I can think of. I hardwired my laptop, turned off my firewall, I ran the file first and then saved it. No matter what I do it still says that there's no internet connection.

In order to complete the installation, only one instance of the installer can be running. If another is opened while the first is running, it will give the "The Connect Installer is already running on this computer" message and stop the program.

If you are sure that you only have one instance of the SparkPeople Connect installer running, then this might be caused by another program named "Connect.exe." Can you please check to see if this is the case on your computer? The easiest way to check is by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Escape keys simultaneously to open your Processes window (Windows PC) and looking through the listed processes.

I can't even get the software to install! Every time I try, he installer begins, then gets as far as "validating". I get a pop-up saying that connect is already running on my computer. This software is nowhere on my computer. I'm not sure what the installer could be recognizing as SP Connect.
I am the administrator on the computer, and I've tried turning off my antivirus and firewall. I've deleted and redownloaded many times. I just can't see what the problem might be.
Are there any known software incompatibilities?

Hi Elona, I checked with the tech team about this and am being told that if you are having trouble getting the lights to come on, we typically recommend having them try holding the Spark tracker stationary in one hand and tapping it 5 times quickly with the pad of their finger(s) from their other hand (as opposed to tapping with nails or tapping the whole device against something else). Some users hold down the tracker on a hard surface (table/desk) and tap it, which can have mixed results as the clip bounces underneath it.

Also, if the Spark tracker does not immediately light up after the taps, you can try again in a matter of seconds and would not need to wait a full minute.

If you do these and still have trouble, please send me a SparkMail with the serial number on your Spark Activity Tracker, which is located on the back side of the device and we can try to take a look to see if we can see anything on our end.

Good evening coach Denise. Please review my posts. Yes, I am quickly tapping the Spark Tracker 5 times. I've tried doing it soft and also more hard to see if it makes a difference. The only time it's ever lit up was once when I depressed it for about 2 seconds with a heavy hand one time. I have been waiting a monute between each trial when I press it quickly 5 times. This is a little frustrating. I'll do it again later tonight. I know the battery is at least 3/4 full according to the Spark page so it's not the battery. Other than it not lighting up it's sinking jjust fine. Do you have any other tips?

You mentioned pressing it -- make sure you are actually tapping the device quickly 5 times and it should light up when you do that. It may take a few tries to figure out the right amount of tapping that is needed.

The SparkPeople Tracker is definitely sinking every time, but it doesn't light up when it's attached to my foot, when I press it on my foot or when I press it next to the computer. It also doesn't work when I press it when I'm not at the computer.

Hi,

I have the same problem. The lights don't turn on when I tap the tracker. The light sometimes come on when I tap it once or twice, but definitely not like it's supposed to after 5 taps.Should I message SparkPeople?

Hi, I just received my activity tracker in the mail today and tried installing it but when it comes time to turn it on and sync I can't get the lights to turn on. Is there a trick to it? I keep tapping it five times but it just won't turn on.
