Thank you. I would prefer to make my own menus without adding everything to my favorites, then selecting items. This will help tremendously.

One day, one meal, one choice, one step to a new me! Go D-Dub!

If you are saying you want to turn off the SparkPeople generated meal plans, there are step-by-step instructions for that in this Help answer:

But, if you are asking about removing the Nutrition Tracker altogether, you can't do that.

I hope I understood what you're asking. If not, just let me know.

Have a good weekend!

I want to get rid of the meal planner since I never use it but I don't know how to do that. Can anyone help me out?

Sorry, but there is not a way to exclude specific meals like that from the meal plans. I can see why you might like that ability though. I can pass along the suggestion to our team; but, you might also want to enter it in the official Suggestion Box that you can access here:

You mention a problem with the Grocery List. If you change / substitute the generated meal plans and then click the Grocery List button, the list will included your newly substituted foods, not the original meal.

Hope that helps and keep the suggestions coming!

I use the meal planner and grocery list tool every week, but there are several dishes that it keeps suggesting that I am not going to eat. For example: Butternut squash risotto. I will never ever eat that. Or perhaps I tried a recipe and I wasn't impressed. I'm looking at you Asian Chicken Salad.

How do I convince the meal planner that really, I don't want these two dishes in my meal plan and to pick something else for me?

I know you can manually go and change it out, but that doesn't help me for my grocery list maker etc. Maybe a better way to say what I am looking for is: I want to ban Asian Chicken Salad from my meal planner. Never ever again do I want to see this recipe in my meal planner.

How do I do this?
