I have not been doing anything on Spark People lately. Have not weighed myself in ages. I know I should not let this stumbling block keep me from moving ahead, but I guess I'm just letting stuff get me down. emoticon Those colorful fruits and veggies made me so dang happy and motivated I guess. Oh well...The best to the rest of you...

I'm newly back to the site and am SO DISSAPOINTED to find the visual water and fruit/veggie trackers gone. They were literally my favorite things to do every day and the #1 reason sparkpeople worked for me. I'll drop a note in the suggestion box as well.

There are no sliders for me in the More Tracking area of the start page. I see little 0-10 numbers but no way to record progress.

I just added the bust measurement to the custom measurements field. It doesn't fall in the right category header with my other similar measurements, but hopefully I'll adjust.

It really should be where we track our food (or both). I also eat more than 10 freggies when I eat or wilt many of my greens into other (ie lentil/curry) dishes. I can see that we're actually quite a small group of people missing our veggie tracker, so I doubt that we'll see it's return -- perhaps when "freggie" becomes an official word in the dictionary (smile, smile). In the meantime, I use my Excel Spreadsheet to keep a summary of several of my vitals on one page that are easy to review or make into some interesting statistics (totals, averages, etc) that have the value of the streaks we keep. I've been keeping this record since 2011 and now that the veggie tracker is gone, my SparkPeople history is missing in action.

On a similar, yet unrelated topic: Of all the measurements recorded, I don't know why we are not able to post a chest or bust measurement. I find this to be a pretty vital statistic for every body (male or female) that makes my recorded measurements on this SparkPeople table incomplete.

Just sent this to the suggestion box. Was told I would not get a response, though.
"Please please please bring back the original veggie/fruit tracker. It was, perhaps, the most important motivator for me. Since it's been gone, I have stopped tracking altogether and have gained back much of the 46 pounds I lost over a 12 month period. That colorful tracker was so important in motivating me to include all important fruits and vegetables in my daily food choices. Can you please bring it back and include it on the food tracking page along with water tracking? Thank you!!!"

I am still bummed about the original veggie/fruit tracker being trashed. I have stopped tracking everything and have probably gained back over half the weight I lost. I'm not sure, because I'm too chicken to get back on the scale. Bummer.. emoticon

Hi all - I also would like to see the fruit/veggie tracker returned to the Nutrition page! Earlier on in this chain (and there are other SP topics where people comment on this), Coach Denise suggested that people email their suggestion about the fruit/veggie tracker to the Suggestion Box. Maybe our cause will be advanced if everyone follows that advice!

Thanks for the reply....but not a good solution for me.
It requires navigation to another page instead of being able to see it right with the other food eaten for the day and it does not have the same visual appeal.
It could have been placed under the entry "find" bar or on the right side with the daily Spark info or could have been optional where the water is - but instead they chose to remove it from that page and put it somewhere else - so now I doubt that I will ever use it. Unfortunate because it was a prime motivator for me. Already today I've not eaten the 8 or 10 fruit/veggie servings that I used to enjoy clicking off on.
As I suggested via the tech help feature today - maybe next time the software developers could actually ask members which features they would like kept the same - if they have to remove something for financial reasons and to make room for more ads.

I'm maintaining and just signed in to begin tracking again and to my sorrow the fruit and veggie tracker is GONE!
And I can't find it to get it back!
I'm a visually motivated person and one of the most motivating features of the entire website for me is no longer available.
Surely there is somewhere you could have put it .... maybe on the right under the Today at Spark - features I rarely used vs one I used ALL the time.

I am a new user and am quite shocked that there is no fruit/veggie tracker. I thought that was a basic fundamental of healthy eating. Everyone learns early on that your plate is supposed to make up certain food groups. I look at the reports too and they show me carbs, protein and fat and what is recommended. But where are fruits and veggies in there or dairy? I know that I don't eat enough fruits and veggies. But keeping it hidden from me, is only making it worse. When I see that I have a little too much fat in my chart and a little less carbs - it makes me want to add more carbs ... but deep down I know I'm lacking in fruits/veggies. Where's the tracker?! Perhaps I should check out LiveStrong?

So sorry to think that advertising is more important than a very important motivator. There are ads all over the place! That fruit and veggie tracker did not take up that much room and was so helpful IMHO. I agree that the trackers on the home page are bland. I rarely check them at at all. Sigh...

I used to not mind the advertisements but they've become so obnoxious. There are video advertisements you can't pause. Advertisements so large that you can't get from the scroll bar to click on various buttons such as to post without scrolling over extendable ads.

Just like with Facebook, we're not the consumer anymore. We're the product.

It's obvious from the lack of response here. They want the advertising space. It doesn't matter what we want.

Me, too. I ended up setting up a "yes/no" type goal on the home page instead for the fruits/veggies, but I really did prefer having that on the nutrition page--I recorded the fruits and veggies as I planned the day's menu.

I think SP is using that space at the top for advertising--I have no problem with that since I know it helps keep SP free. However, I do wish they would consider putting our beloved fruit/veggie tracker at the bottom right next to the water tracker.

Compromise...:)

It ruined my streak, losing that, and putting the water tracker out of immediate line of sight. My memory's not what it was now that menopause is taking over, and I rely on reminders like those. The sliders on the main page are so bland I skip over them without even seeing them most days.. So disappointed with Spark that they did that. :-(
I don't think it matters how many of us miss them. We weren't even asked if we use them or like them. They just disappeared.

I still miss that fruit and veggie tracker and have no idea why they eliminated it! I think about it when I play Candy Crush and those other computer games. Those colors and graphics are very motivating--addicting perhaps! Why not be hooked on something that is good for you--like fruits and vegetables??? Still don't get it. It happened at a bad time for me, too, when I was starting to stray away. Can't say I've gotten totally back in the groove. I know I should not blame other things for my misgivings, but that tracker really was an important motivator for me... emoticon emoticon emoticon

It's been gone for months now. Now that my veggie trackers are off kilter, I record the important numbers on a spreadsheet. At least they updated the water to allow us to record over 10 cups. I use my one view spreadsheet to update with the numbers I often use on my team challenges. I'm guessing not enough people missed the freggie for SparkPeople to return it.

Hi, I used to be able to click on little pictures of fruits and vegetables that would get colored in as I tracked that I had eaten them. I found it very motivating to color it in. I also like to use the full tracking. Has that feature been removed? When I clicked to find the answer I got a message saying the answer no longer existed. Is there a way to get the little picture tracker back with full tracking? I don't even see it with quick tracking.

I used the link to ask for the tracker to be brought back. If I didn't do anything else right on any particular day, I know how many veggies and fruits I ate. I use it when I enter the number on my job site tracker. We get days off once we get so many points in that year.

We never feel that the feedback is cared about. We don't seem to get any feedback from our feedback, so how can we possibly know we are even being listened to? The nutrition aspect of Spark is so important to so many of us, and losing the freggie tracker with its colourful freggies from the nutrition page is really messing up a lot of people's food plans. The visual reminder was a very important part of that page, along with the water tracker, which is now relegated to the bottom of the page. There is plenty of room to put the freggie tracker back at the top of the nutrition page where it belongs, and the water glass should be up there too.

Lots of us need those visual aids, so why were they taken away/moved?

We REALLY REALLY need them back where they belong. I am all for improvements, but taking the freggie tracker away from the nutrition page is not an improvement. Hiding the water tracker at the bottom of the nutrition page is not an improvement.

Please listen to us and reinstate them in pride of place at the top of the nutrition page.

Thanks for the link, Coach Denise! I just left my suggestion to return the fruits and veggies tracker to conveniently track my numbers as I key each meal. The nutritional tracker is a lifesaver and having access to this information there was so much more helpful when I could track (especially those days I ate more than 10 freggies.)

This is probably the resistant compulsive eater in me, but the loss of the fruit/veggie tracker (above the nutrition tracker) has really THROWN ME OFF TRACK!!! I didn't even bother to track my food today. I just logged in, did the trivia question, and that's it. I usually get 50 or more spark points a day. Not now.

I'm very nervous about going back to old habits if I don't track. Tracking my food has probably been my #1 help in losing weight. But, that was because the tracker included the all important colorful fruits and veggies.

SparkPeople, please help! Anybody out there? Why was it changed? Perhaps, if we knew the why of it, it would help in accepting the change...

I want it back too! I am frustrated because when I move the tracker on my start page it doesn't retain that information. When I come back to the page later it is back to zero again. I don;t know where else to put the info in so I have no tracker ability as far as I can see. What was wrong with the way it was? It was a logical location for it and an easy click.

I believe that in the past, the way to see the fruit-veggie tracker on the nutrition page was simply to show or "unhide" the quick track section on the start page. If someone chose "hide" for the quick tracker on the start page, then they did not see the f-v tracker on the nutrition page. I loved having it there at the top of the nutrition tracker...it was a daily reminder for me as I started to enter the day's foods that I should include the fruits and veggies.

I, too, would appreciate the fruit and veggie tracker on the nutrition tracker page where I track my meals and snacks . . . it's easier to update as I track my food, as opposed to having to go to yet another screen for tracking my nutrition. So glad to see that the water tracking is there . . . I drink more than ten cups a day and I track by 8-oz cup (not by 10+) and often will have days where I have well over nine servings of fruits and veggies (something the old and cute tracker accounted for).

Please, please return this tracker to the nutritional tracking page.

I really loved those fruit/vegetable graphics as well, but if it makes the site work better, I guess I can do without them. Sometimes, without them, I forget to fill in the fruit/vegetable tracker on the Start Page, so I don't get credit on the Streak.

This is my second day without the veggie/fruit tracker. Before, I could click on it as I referred to my tracked food below. Not only was it positioned in a logical place for food tracking, (on the same page with the food tracker for heaven's sake!), brightly colored fruits and veggies were a motivation to work on that very important goal. Also, I would often study the pictures of those fruits and veggies as reminders of some that I might not have considered otherwise. I have to say that I am still seriously bummed about this.

Can SparkPeople please bring back the fruit/veggies tracker? Pretty please?

I confirm what the others have said. The tracker is now on its second day to be missing. I thought things on SparkPeople have been done to make things easier. I do have the sliding tracker on the Start page. Until two days ago the quick tracker was linked to the Start page and every time you clicked another fruit or vegetable it updated the tracker on the Start page. Now I have to go back to the start page everytime I add a fruit/or veggie. Is there a reason that it had to go? I really want it back.

I would like the fruit/veggie tracker back. I find when I use the quick tracker that it does not show this as a streak on my Spark Streaks.

Yes it disappeared just a couple of days ago and I am bummed!! I loved it, and the visual reminder every time I went to track my meals was great. Also missing the individual ranking of Spark points.

Coach Denise -- just to reiterate the other comments here, the fruit/veggie tracker has NOT been gone a long time from the Nutrition Tracker. It was available as recently as 1-2 days ago (at least for me, who uses the route of "My Trackers" and then "My Nutrition" to track food). I noticed it was also added to "More Tracking" a few weeks back, but it was still available under the My Nutrition page, as a tracker at the top of the page (just below water tracking, which has now been moved to the bottom of the page, with fruits/veggies now omitted/lost).

Like others here, I'd love to see it back! It was very motivational, and it makes the most sense to have the fruit/veggie fast tracker on the same page where you input food.

I also do not like that the fruit/vegetable tracker has been removed from the nutrition tracker. It makes no sense that I have to go to a different page to track nutrition information. It belongs on the nutrition tracker.

It's not true that it's been gone from the nutrition tracker for awhile either. It's only been gone for a couple of days. It's a pain in the neck to switch pages. I have enough memory problems as it is.

I am very disappointed to lose the fruit/veggie and the water tracker at the top of my nutrition tracker. I felt that those two things were some of the most important reminders for healthy behavior that helped me lose weight! It is not the same at all to have to search for them now. Why change something that was working so well? Why? emoticon

That form of the tracker was removed, but you can still track those on your start page in the "more tracking" section of step 1 by using the slider for those goals.

Darn. I have the same problem and I'd like to have the tracker back, but I can't find a "show" button on the start page ("Section 1 Track Your Progress", right?). Does anyone have tips on that?

Or has that one fallen prey to new design of the "My Nutrition" page? To avoid confusion: I mean that cute tracker you get when you open the drop-down menu "My Trackers", pick "My Nutrition" and there used to be a cute vegetable tracker right beside the water tracker. With pretty pictures of fruits and vegetables, which I'm a sucker for.

Wow for a couple minutes, I thought I stepped into another dimension, I know I've been using the fruit and veggie tracker on the My Nutrition page this week.

So I went to the start page and clicked Show by the Quick Tracker and that opened up. Then I went back to My Nutrition page and the fruit and veggie tracker was back.

Now that I think about it, I did click that hide button the other day by mistake by the quick tracker on the start page but left it hidden since I had never used it.

Thanks for your help! In case you don't hear it enough....

I think it disappeared yesterday. It used to be under the box where you search for a food, there were up and down arrows to click each time I ate a fruit or vegetable. Did I do something to remove this or is there an issue I'm not aware of?
