Nope, doesn't work. Like I said, I've already tried those -- the only way to change it is to delete and re-add. Trying to edit the food and save the changes just leaves it where it was, in the deleted items category (but still adding the nutritional counts to my total).
I hope someone can have a look at it and work any bugs out, if necessary.
If you get that category you should be able to go to the nutrition tracker, click the add/edit meal category link, then save that page. It should then push the item into the proper meal category on your tracker. Also, clicking on the item, you can reassign the meal category as well, but I would recommend doing the above suggestion first and it should fix the issue.

This is becoming a major pain, and also more and more frequent.
On a daily basis, often multiple times, when I delete something from my tracking that I ended up not eating or that got added by mistake, the tracker will delete MULTIPLE items from other categories. These aren't part of the same grouping, or category, or anything.
Just now I deleted a baguette that I entered earlier. It never showed up, so I entered it again, and then it spontaneously appeared ten hours later. It deleted the baguette (lunch), the candy bar I ate when I forgot my glucose tablets along with my multivitamin and biotin (vitamins and supplements), and my bedtime snack of cereal (bedtime snack).
There is no way to get the system to reassign these items where they're supposed to be, trying to edit them and assign the proper meal category doesn't work, which means I have to delete them from the "items you deleted" category and then add them all over again.
