Tried to get back into the groove of sparkpeople yesterday and today and I can't get some pages to load, others take forever to load. It's the only program open on my computer and I have no troubles with any other sites I open. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Hi Sparkling Hope and good morning. I actually like the website myself. I guess that is what is so frustrating. So many folks use it, and I just seems it should navigate better and faster. I appreciate your response. Stay warm..
Wish I could help but maybe it needs to be a brand new post? It is frustrating. Now they have pop ups that take me to my iPhone or iPad apps and advertised game without me touching anything. I think they are unable to control or fix many things. The one "tech" answer I received made it apparent it was not a real Computer tech...
I continue with SP because it is free and I have gained benefits way beyond the frustrations. :)

Well, it has been close to 24 hours since I posted my last entry here. Not one technical person has responded. I notice that the person that posted prior to me never received a response as well. Their post was over a month old. Doesn't seem as though support team is on top of it, or simply ignores. I guess there is nothing that can be done to speed up the website. Thanks for your support. Not sure why you have this thread if nobody ever answers the questions or concerns.

I've been on here for about a week and a half now. I'm about to pull my hair out and call it a day. The entire site runs at a snails pace. I don't have any other issues with any other website that I view. Is there anything that can be done about this? I really don't have the patience or the time to wait while it "thinks" before moving. I am about to give up on SP. Would really hate to do this, but this is really frustrating.

I have had the same issues as mentioned. I had more issues with the page loading, the characters not being entered as words are typed, and the script problem with Firefox, so I switched to Google Chrome. I was doing fine with Chrome until about 2 months ago, I don't get the script problem, but it is still slow to use the food tracker and to make edits. I was chalking it up to the increased use of ads on the site/page that have a lot of motion, etc...

I use the latest version of Firefox and have also been experiencing issues with SparkPeople.com loading slowly (or some pages not at all) for the last week or so. For a while this evening, I couldn't even get the site to load at all. I had to quit and go on to another site for a while and then come back. I particularly seem to have issues watching videos and then getting confirmation of my spark points for doing so. Also - the same issues with Spark People radio. Even Facebook is loading faster than SP. It gets very frustrating. I don't believe I had these issues prior to the website "make over." I also frequently get the message that the "server timed out." In fact, I am having trouble posting this message.
It's also slow on my notebook, other sites are fine. It's especially show when I'm adding food to the tracker and sometimes it just changes the date I'm on to another date, and it also doesn't want to copy my foods anymore, only works sometimes.
Make Healthy Choices, weight loss is just a side effect.
Also having this issue. We just got a new computer, so history/cache shouldn't be an issue. All other sites are fine, but a lot of the links in the drop-down menus (like "My Trackers") don't work at all, and it's terribly slow. I was wondering if it's a compatibility issue - not sure what IE I'm using, but it's probably whatever the most up-to-date one is since the computer is new. I had no issues on my old one (it was slow, but so was everything I did on the web).

Same here, site worked fine up until a few weeks ago, and it's not my cache / cookies, those are cleaned out regularly, it's their web site . Other web sites work just fine. I sent a suggestion in for them to look into it, since I could not find an easy way to submit a technical help ticket . Suggest others also send in feedback, so they know there's a real problem.
I also am having a delay when I try to scroll when tracking. I have been on spark people for over a year and this has never been a problem until a week or so ago. Believe me I would never have stayed if it had been this difficult. The delay is frustrating!!!!! I end up opening ads I don't aim for, can't erase a food to enter the next one, and sit and wait before getting to the item I am aiming for in a list. It can't be a computer issue as different computers do the same. Takes over twice as long or more to track! Help! Does not happen at all areas, mostly tracking food. Spark Coach, team discussion, articles, and messaging ok. Three days this week just gave up and went to bed! (no missed letters though--sometimes so slow can't tell if the letter will show up.)
I am wondering if anyone else is having trouble with this...when I try to track my food, typing something into the search bar takes about 10 seconds per letter, and it skips letters - a very frustrating experience that I do not seem to have with any other website. I finally give up and hence don't track my food. Thoughts?
