Ok, Anne. I'll try that. If it doesn't work, I'll let you know. I appreciate your help!

Thanks for clarifying that! I do see that android connection. Did you try following the instructions in the first post to fix the deleted meal category problem? Aside from that, you may want to try uninstalling/reinstalling to fix any possible issues that have occurred with the app. Doing that will also ensure that you have the most recent updates to the app installed on your device.

It isn't an iPhone app I downloaded it from Google play. I've logged into the app with.my sp username. Why wouldn't it have been verified? I've had the app for months why is it acting up now?

I understand that you're frustrated. The account that you are posting with does not show that it has ever been linked to an iphone app, which means that your previous attempts have not been with the account you are posting from.

In order to link the account to the app, you will have to uninstall it and when you reinstall, be sure you select the option to log in as a current member with the username you are posting with. Once you do that, the account will sync with the app and vice-versa. We will also be able to verify on "our end" that you have logged into the account via the app.

Ok, let me try this again....

I have the app. I have the account. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times and it is still doing it.

I will log foods in the website tracker. I will go into the app and make additions or try to delete something off. It does NOT update the calories. It does NOT show any of the foods I add. It does NOT start up on the correct date when I launch the app. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, logged out, logged back in. Same. Half the time it tells me "no connection" on the app. Is there somewhere else I should direct my question to? I want this resolved. This is troubling that I forked out $4 for an app that sucks. There is zero communication between the website and the app. If I go to add something in the app, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. If you look at the link I provided, that is an example of what it does. I add it in on the app, it does not update the calories on the app. It will add the calories in on the website but it dumps it in the random category of "customized foods deleted" This to me seems odd and is highly frustrating. I want to use sparkpeople and would love to have the seamless communication to happen between the website and the app because I DID afterall pay for it. It is ridiculous the amount of money being charged for the app and there seems to be little to no support for the app.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. To connect your account to the app, you can uninstall the app and reinstall. Then, the first time you login, you can log in as a current member using the information you use to log into the website.

No, it doesn't. It renders the $4 app I paid for completely useless. Maybe I didn't make it clear, the app is NOT communicating with the website. It is frustrating since I actually paid for this app. $4 is a lot for an app, I would expect it to work.

Hi,

Sorry you are having trouble! If you are seeing that and didn't delete a custom meal category, you should be able to go to the nutrition tracker on the website, click the add/edit meal category link, then save that page. That should resolve the issue for you.

I have a question for you. Somehow communication between the site and my app is not there. I am getting VERY frustrated wtih this app that I spent $3.99 for! emoticon It seems like just about every day I will enter my food in the nutrition tracker and when I go to add things in with the app it will not communicate. It keeps putting food in a category that says: "Foods from customized meals you deleted" what does THAT mean? I wish SP's app was more user friendly like My Fitness Pal. I love this site and have been here for a very long time, but paying THAT much for an app that is virtually useless is upsetting to me. Can you help me remedy this problem? Here is the link to my nutrition tracker form yesterday, this is just one example of what it is doing: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutrition.asp
