Those are user-entered foods. Usually they are things that people entered into SparkRecipes with a certain number of servings. If you can find that user's version of the recipe in SparkRecipes, it will usually tell how many serving the total recipe makes.

For the most part, though, the best way to make sure you get weight/measure options is to set your search options so it does NOT search user-enter foods. (I can't remember the exactly wording of that option, but it's not hard to find.) Then you're just searching the USDA database, which gives weight/measure options for most items.

It has been over 2 years since I used this tracker. I used to find it very good. But now I am very frustrated. Too many food come up as "serving". I realize you can change the number, but what does a serving meal? I do not see anything the tells you. I am trying to be reasonably accurate and in 3 days have come across this multiple times. I have no idea what I am selecting or how close it is to what I want to put in. Why do you no longer give us the option of selecting by wgt or volume as in the past?
