I am having the same problems with my computer freezing up when using Sparkpeople...any solutions yet? I just can't take all this time to enter in a food and find it freezes over and over again! It is horrible if you get behind a day and want to go back to the day before, . It can take hours to enter in all the data with the freezing being constant! Please help!

I went on to Firefox and added an ad-blocker (free). I haven't had any problems since with adverts interfering with what I want to do.

For what it's worth, I have the same problem with my old hand-me-down laptop at home. I can watch it as it struggles to load the twitter platform and the facebook widget and the google ads, etc., and it's just so slow as to be infuriating. Did all the usual things, cleared the cache, scanned for viruses and updates (none), spent way to much time researching online what the problem might be. I did up my RAM 2 years ago, and that seemed to help a little for a brief time, but it was only a temporary fix. Like you, I do not have these issues with other websites I regularly visit. After an exasperating week at home last week, I finally I decided my computer was too old and too slow to handle some of the pages on the website (the SP blog, spark team pages, and message boards are the worst). Since buying a new computer isn't in my future, I gave up and decided just to use my computer at work. I hope you can find a solution to your problem.

I am sorry that you are experiencing this. I am not able to duplicate this for you. That being said, if you have cleared your cache/cookies

you may try using a different browser to see if that helps.

Every time I bring up an article, try to log in food, fitness, etc, my computer freezes up. I believe the ads are causing this. It started with the new upgrades to website. This problem only happens to computer while using Spark. I ran virus protector and found no virus. I have also deleted cookies and still having problem. Getting frustrated!!
