I brought this up a few months ago, but nothing has been changed, even though other improvements have been made to the site. Once the nutrition tracker is set to a diabetes plan, the recommended carbs (and other nutrients) cannot be changed. My doctor is asking me to eat much less carbs than the plan recommends. Even the Spark People article "Eating Well With Type 2 Diabetes" recommends following doctor's orders and gives detailed instructions on how to change one's carb counts. I was happy when I read that, thinking that the problem had finally been fixed, only to get back to the same page as before. It's bad enough that the people who need it most can't adjust their recommendations in the nutrition trackers; it's even worse that an author on SP recommends it, even though it is impossible. This issue should really be given priority.
