Are you male or female?

That seems like a good range for a female, to me. If you're male that's the minimum range for men.

It's largely based on how much weight you've told the system you want to lose each week - ie when your goal date is set for.

If you're female and you feel you'd like a lower range, bring your goal date closer.

I was wondering if it was possible that Sparkpeople might have put me in the wrong calorie range? Right now it says I should consume between 1500-1850 a day, but this seems a little high for me. I'm 21 and 5'0. My weight and goal weight are accurate on my ticker. I'm aiming to get cardio in six times a week, and strength training three times a week, both for thirty minutes.

Is it possible my range is too high? It seems like an awfully lot of food.
