Calculating calories seems off

You're definitely burning "more calories per minute" when you work harder, but because you spend less minutes working, it actually balances out.Calorie burn is a function of distance, not time.If you want to see more burn in your tracker, then instead of doing the same route faster, go for longer (in the same time). However, because you're exercising for a shorter period of time, with your heart rate elevated for a shorter period of time, the calories are fewer. I hope this helps! --Anne ___________________________________

So far this week I have walked four days and three of those days I walked the exact same route of 1.34 miles. I used mapped routes to calculate calories burned but what I have noticed is the calculator doesn't take into account intensity. When I walk faster (less minutes) the calories should be a little more, but they aren't. Below is the time and calories calculated for the three times.

Monday: 35 minutes 199 calories
Tuesday 34 minutes 193 calories
Wednesday 32 minutes 182 calories

Believe me I could tell the difference between the walk on Monday and the walk on Wednesday. Wouldn't faster pace burn more calories?
