App not syncing and showing day to be Sept 18 2013

Hi - I have the free app on my android phone. Since yesterday, its been defaulting to September 18 for "today's" date. I have cleared the cache, I have uninstalled and reinstalled... and nothing seems to work. The website is FINE but my app on my phone always goes back to September 18 (starting to think that is going to be an bad day).. I would just use the date as it is as I only use the app to count my daily calories but it sucks it doesn't sync to what I enter via the website as I've lost a lot of flexibility and either HAVE to use the website or HAVE to use the app. Anyone else out there have this issue??? I emailed tech support and all of their recommendations (clearing cache, turning off phone) did not work..
