What would be the reason for doing that? The thing is, there are MANY teams for people who aren't trying to lose weight. There are maintainers, there are marathoners, there are resistance training teams where members are GAINING weight, and so on. Points help track how active a teams members are, in any of a ton of different healthy activities, so everyone can participate in those totals and leader boards. Weight loss totals leave some people out and would likely lead to an unhealthy type of competition. Nobody's going to hurt him/herself by answering a hundred polls a day to score points, but some people *would* be tempted to starve or over-exercise to boost their team's weight loss totals.
That doesn't mean YOU can't have a team that keeps track. Look through the teams; there are several "biggest loser" imitation challenges. You could even start a team yourself, maybe of people around your same age with similar amounts of weight to lose, and as team leader you could let people report in to you on a specific day each week, and you could post the total.
Oh, and the site does keep a running total of ALL pounds lost by ALL members. I think it's on the "start" page. Of course it's not really accurate because a lot of people don't record their weight here, but it's still fun to look at.
