Some things people can hold whatever opinion they like about.
Some things are facts.
Target (brick and mortar) is not the same shop as Target Online.
I can certainly see why'd you think so, and yes it's confusing and nasty that it's done that way.
ETA: out of interest, the "Total body sculpting DVD 250 points ONLY when you buy at Target" ad is on my page, so I clicked it. It states:
"*Why can I only earn SparkPoints for DVDs purchased at Target?
SparkPeople is very pleased to have entered an exclusive retail deal with Target stores. This deal is an important milestone in the growth of our small company. The fact that our DVD will be seen in Target stores nationwide will help us reach countless more people, which will help us in our mission to Spark millions of People to get healthier. As a thank you to Target for believing in our DVD enough to stock it on their shelves, we are encouraging all of our members to buy their DVD from Target specifically (by offering SparkPoints and more) to ensure its success for both parties. Thanks for your support! "
It is pretty much certain that the book you bought would have contained a similar disclaimer and information. The link to Target on the DVD 'homepage' takes you "Find a Target store" on the Target.com online site. If you follow other links after you get there to shop and buy it online, unfortunately you have not met the requirements to get your bonus spark points.
